Sometimes life can feel pretty uncertain, unpredictable, and even downright scary. Whenever we find ourselves feeling unsettled or threatened, it can be tempting to look other places for our security and hope than in the God who saves. Palm Sunday is a vivid reminder that whenever we place our deepest hopes in the things of this world, we are misplacing that hope. Jesus is our only true hope!!!

The rich young ruler had an opportunity to respond to Jesus’ invitation to become the 13th Disciple, but when he declines Jesus doesn’t chase after him. He waits and gives him space—that’s what grace does.
