AN INCONVENIENT GOSPEL || MAY 11, 2025 || SERIES: LIVING IN LIGHT OF EASTER || SPEAKER: DR. DAVID GOEBEL

Curiosity and inquisitiveness are wonderful traits and have their place, but without guardrails, they can sometimes distract our focus and lead us to question or interfere with things that are beyond our understanding or control. In our faith journey, we often only see the “back” of God’s tapestry of our lives, where things may seem chaotic and confusing. It is not for us to know the secret workings of God, but to embrace our journey and trust that from His perspective, every thread and every moment is part of a beautiful and purposeful design.

The news of Jesus’ resurrection is so overwhelmingly good that the two He meets on the road to Emmaus simply have to go and tell others—even though it wasn’t easy or convenient to do so. The challenge for all of us is: are we willing to stretch/flex/adapt/inconvenience ourselves for the sake of helping others come to know, love, and serve Jesus?
