God’s image isn’t gold, silver, stone, or ink—it’s people. Each of us, those who trust Him and those who don’t, live connected to God yet marred by sin. Join as we explore teachings shared with our kids in this past week’s STEM VBS and learn to “Look Closely” as God does.
Even though they had spent time with the resurrected Jesus for quite a while, the Disciples’ question on the mount of ascension makes clear that they were still so easily caught up and distracted by their misguided notion of Jesus as a political savior. It can be so easy for us to get off base in our understanding of who Jesus is and what He would have us be about, but the mandate that He gives His Disciples prior to His ascension is a clear anchor point to which we can return again and again to reset our spiritual compass and keep us on the right track as we seek to faithfully follow Him.
